Politic : Patricia Scotland Advice To Solve Crisis Thrown Into the Mire

State Authorities Having Sleepless Nights Due To The Anglophone Crisis.

The International Community’s role to help the government put an end to the Anglophone crisis would have yielded fruits if the state did not under mind the advice of top personalities like Right Honorable Patricia Scotland, the Secretary General of Common Wealth who adviced the government to do everything to make sure peace reigns.

When the crisis started in the year 2016 with a peaceful match that met with resistance from the arm soldiers eyes were wide shot to see that the crisis comes to an end. No Cameroonian and member of the International community would have imagined that the crisis would take this long.

The insecurity situation of the North West and South West Regions of the country caused much concern that the Head of State had to call for the Right Honorable Patricia Scotland to see how her organization the Common Wealth could help Cameroon gain the lasting peace. The time spent and the advice given by the Common Wealth Secretary General in the country to see how the government get a solution to the problem yielded no fruits.

To her it was only an inclusive an unconditional dialogue that can help the country come out of the crisis as she started “ I have talked to all the interlocutors and all they talk about is dialogue. The wonderful thing about the dialogue is that it is Cameroonian dialogue. It depends on the people of Cameroon to determine the shape, content and the people to attend the dialogue” .

If the Cameroon government had yielded to the advice of the Common Wealth Secretary General the Right Honorable Patricia Scotland, the meaningless war would have known an end. The country would have hung on the support of Common Wealth to handle the situation. “If Cameroon feel that the Common Wealth could assist in anyway be it technical assistance or by participating in the peace process, then we stand ready to do anything we can to support that process”. She declared.

The government of Cameroon instead of implementing the advice of dialogue and seeking assistance from the Common Wealth to handle the situation, decided to do it their own way that has caused the lost of lives and properties.
