Narcisse Mouelle Kombi Appreciates Progress of Sport Facilities.
The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, president of COCAN 2020-2021 Narcisse Moulle Kombi, on Thursday August 5, 2021 at the Yaounde Multipurpose sport complex held the first ever meeting after the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in preparation of Total Energy Africa Nations Cup (AFCON).
Narcisse Mouelle Kombi the Minister of Sports and Physical Education explained after welcoming the participants “The present meeting which is the first of its kind, is taking place after the brilliant success recorded in the organization of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2020, which is part of the preparations for the total energies AFCON 2021”.
The president of COCAN 2020-2021 during his address to the participants, highlighted the progress the state has made so far to host the competition. The sixth session is taking place at the moment when our country is witnessing a high and significant transformation in its facilities chosen to host the competition. He pointed out.
The progress of the various facilities to host the competition is due to the team of the officials managing the tournament, members of the technical commissions in charge of the operational organization at the central level and the site coordinators that were appointed this year. The sixth session gives the two parties the opportunity to brainstorm on the reason of the postponement of draw ceremony initially scheduled to take place on the 25th June 2021 as well as prospects for the reorganization of the draw ceremony slated for Mid August this year.
Governors from the Centre, Littoral, West, North West and South West Regions in their capacities as site committee chairpersons were present on that day.
