The Two Pen Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework Signature .
The United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for Cameroon 2022-2026 has been signed by the country’s Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development Alamine Ousmane Mey and the UN Resident Coordinator in Cameroon Matthias Z NAAB on Thursday 16th September 2021 at the amphi 300 of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT).
The objective of the Cooperation Framework for Cameroon is to materialize the commitments by both the UN System and the Cameroon Government for the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda. The United Nations and the Government of Cameroon are endorsing the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework as the basis for the Cooperation between the two parties for the period of 2022-2026 through their signature.
The UN Resident Coordinator in Cameroon Matthias Z NAAB regards the signing as a catalyst to strengthening the cooperation with the government of Cameroon, reinforcing the coordination with the UN regarding development programming as well as strengthening and reinforcing partnership with authorities, development partners and other stake holders. To him all these are in line with the identified priorities of the country.
The Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development Alamine Ousmane Mey on his part declares that the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) strategic priorities are completely aligned with the National Development Strategy pillars for the years 2020-2030, with regards to the Paris Declaration for Development Effectiveness.
The government of Cameroon and the UN are ensuring that the state moves on the right rail of development.
