Society: Bamenda Ring Road Project Starting Next Year

The Minister of Public Works Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi on Wednesday 1st December, 2021 succeeded in convincing the members of the finance and budget committee of the National Assembly to see that his 2022 vision for Cameroon with regards roads construction is highly estimated.

While defending the estimated budget of 527 billion CFAF allocated to his ministry for the year 2022, the Public Works boss got the appraisal of the members when he purported that over 1444 km of roads will be constructed all over the country. The construction of Bamenda ring road starting from Kumbo, Nkambe and Misaje will commence immediately as the first phase.

The Road linking Babadjou – Bamenda that have been a night mare to Cameroonians for many years due to its dilapidated nature was once again be remembered as the Minister Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi stated “We are going to reconstruct the Babadjou- Bamenda road.” The people of the South Region of the country will not be left out in the road construction project for next year as the government is engaging in the reconstruction of the Ebolowa, Akom II and Kribi road.The Minister declared.

In order to give the members of the finance and budget committee of the National Assembly reasons to endorse the budget allocated to him, Minister Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi captivated the minds of the members by stating the state desires to link all localities by tar roads.

Before engaging in the construction and reconstruction of new roads, the Minister explained, the roads whose construction works are almost knowing an end will be tackled first next year as the government is bent to concretize its infrastructural programs so as to have perfect development.

To ensure road construction in all the localities without any headache, continuous visit to the sites will be done.
