The visit of the President of the National Assembly the Right Honorable Cavaye Yeguie Djibril at the Ngoa Nkelle National Assembly construction site on Monday the 22nd November 2021 was not for pleasantry but to have the first hand information on the evolution of work at the moment.
During the tour to the construction site that will host the permanent building of the National Assembly, the Speaker did not leave the place disappointed as he had a heart leaping with joy and melting with excitement.
The building that will constitute a 400 seaters plenary hall or the hemicycle, that is almost getting to the finishing line and can be rated at over 98%, the banquet hall estimated to be over 90% are signs that the workers and the contractors are putting hands on deck not to disappoint the state when the time of handing the keys comes.
The Coordinator of the construction committee Honorable Theodore Dahouo presenting the situation to the Speaker the Rt Honorable Cavaye Yeguie Djibril revealed that, the only part of the work that has not reached 50% is that of the offices “For the office building that carries 14 tower , we have covered 20%. We spent 11 months on the ground planting the pillars.”
The edifice that has different compartments has a water reservoir that can stock over 4000 cubic liters of water to solve the problem of fire incident in the National Assembly and the buildings around in case of any fire incident.
