Customers Discouraged By Unstable Network.
The Cameroon Telecommunication Company (CAMTEL) for years has not met the expectations of the citizens who have been using its services. The lone state communication institution wonderful offers to Cameroonians have been a disappointment with the services it offers them.
In 2015, a 3rd generation communication tool known as CTPhone that was meant to meet the needs of densification of Camtel’s wireless phone network came to lime light.
To Camtel, it is a CDMA (Code division multiple access), technology that allows wireless connection of subscribers with the possibility of roaming throughout the national territory. With the offers of the CTPhone, hopes of the citizens were raised and hearts leaping with joy to see their communication worries come to a final stop.
To the greatest dismay of Cameroonians, the much publicized CTphone was a complete disappointment as the citizens complained always of not able to connect with the others. Some users of CTphone would not hid their feelings as they stated clearly that it was very difficult for them to have network coverage.
They could not understand the origin of the network problem. They complained severely on how the CTphone will stop working at the time they have to make important calls. Many are of the opinion that, the CTphone was just the replica of the fix phone which worked only within a particular given area.
The Camtel CTphone, which was a kind of mobile phone from Camtel operator, never ceased to surprised its customers with terrible network problem which did not only end at the level of calls but also at sending and receiving messages. Apart of the problem of network, customers who used the CTphone complained of the rating of calls they made. It has been the wish of users to see that the CTphone meets the desire of the customers.
