Cameroon : Parliamentarians set to check members of government actions.

Mismanagement of state budget soon a thing of the past.

Ministerial departments of the country, that in the past have been spending the state budget careless, without considering  improving the livinghood of the population, will not have it easy with the law makers who have vowed to scrutinize the use of  the various budgets allocated to them and strictly follow up to economic development of the country.

The decision to strictly follow up the use of budget allocated to the different ministries was reached on Thursday, March 11, 2021, during the opening session of the new legislative year.  The eldest member of parliament Honorable Laurentine Nkoa Mfegue frowned at the misuse of the state budget as she called on the members of the government to exibit a sense of patriotism. She stated  » I exhort members of government to be patroitic and to show proof of their know-how in the management of public funds. They have the binding duty to contribute, in their respective capacity, to revive economic growth and to attain the goals of 2021-2030 National Development Strategy that enable Cameroon to become an emerging economy during the 2021-2030 decade »

The call to patriotism and proper use of the state funds by Honorable Laurentine Nkoa Mfegue, has reawaken the conciousness of the parliamentarians in their role to supervise, follow up and strictly control to ensure that the budgetary allocation meant for the various ministry are judicious used. The ministries have no choice than to work in line with the budgetary allocation. Honorable Prodencial Foo Ngang of Momo East Mbengwi constituency explained.
