Despite the fact that they kidnappers demanded the sum of 20 million FCFA as ransom, nothing was paid for the priest to be said free. The Diocese of Mamfe pointed. Worthy of note is the fact that, the town of Mamfe has been a very insecured place for the civilians. Recently, the priests have been the target of the separatist fighters in Mamfe.
