Hundreds Traveling Leaving Kumba Out Of Fear.
The decision taken by the separatist fighters in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon to impose two weeks ghost town in all towns and village communities in the regions has been received with a lot of sadness and mixed feelings by the inhabitants of these areas who considered such unfair.
Imposing two weeks ghost town to us the citizens of Cameroon residing in the North West and South West Regions of the country is making life difficult and tormenting as well.
For how long can we continue in this suffering? In times like this, many people who could not afford stocking their homes for a week or two die of hunger. I do not understand how they claim fighting for us but at the same time tormenting us. A Mamfe inhabitant pointed out.
In Kumba, a source revealed that, the park is jam packed to capacity with people traveling out of the town to other regions of the country where they have relatives who can house them for a period of two weeks or more. I am surprised that arriving the Mondial bus agency this morning to get a traveling ticket to Yaounde, the first bus was completely full while the second was loading. I am not even sure of getting a ticket for the second bus. The situation over here is precarious. I do not understand why the so called fighters have to make us move up and down in search for security.
In a chaotic and confuse situation like that of the North West and South West Regions, a bold Cameroonian via a video on whatsapp is calling on Cameroonians not to be manipulated any longer by those out of the country who go on normally with their daily activities. To her, it is only a coward who will not understand that nothing good can come out from imposing ghost towns on his people. She called on the citizens of the two regions and the fighters to be reasonable and stop maltreating themselves.
