Right Reverend Dr. Nyansako Ni Nku Resting with the Lord.
Adherents of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon from Tuesday, April 27 are having heavy heart due to the demise of the former Moderator. Reverend Dr. Nyansako Ni Nku The former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, who served in this position between 1999-2009 bows to death at a hospital in Douala after battling with illness.
He was raised to the prestigious position of President of the All African Conference of Churches, AACC, in 2003, after serving the church in loyalty. The late moderator has been described by many christians as a gentle, soft spoken though an outspoken man of God, who never failed standing for the truth.
He served in several capacities at the PCC before his election to the office of a moderator in 1999. He was re-elected for a second five year term as a moderator at the 41st Synod of « Growth » meeting held at the Presbyterian Church Center in Kumba Meme Division from November 7-9, 2004. He served as the head of PCC communication department. He got communicatio training at AACC Communication training center in 1971 and he commenced his career as a broadcaster and journalist.
Also, he studied journalism in Sheffield England and earned a double masters in Sacred Theology and Communications in the USA.
He as well took coursework at the World council’s of churches’ ecumenical Institute in Bossey, Switzerland.Right Reverend Samuel Fonki, the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, sees the demise as another blow to the christians. He is calling on all to pray for the repose of the soul of his predecessor.
From the time his death was made known, christians in and out of Cameroon have not failed pouring out tributes for him.
